I have been using the reward calendar for booking trips in the past - which is an extremely helpful tool. For about two months that tool is no longer available, which makes the process of booking online very tedious. A user needs to check each day and different airports for what they can afford. If you are booking for two people or more it becomes even more challenging. I have called AF, and have gotten a variety of responses. The last one, Andrea at AF said there was a”glitch” and clients and AF booking agents were never supposed to see the calendar of reward travel … rather both groups are supposed to search for flights day by day. The calendar only works for cash purchases. I said “WHAT?” I have been searching this way for a couple of years, and now the “glitch” was fixed by not allowing such a helpful tool to be removed?? Once I hung up, I checked award travel with my husband’s account and “Voila” it worked! However, after checking award travel a few times, it disappeared again. I have recommended people sign up for the AF flying blue program (2 people signed up for your credit card as a result) in the last year. I think you have a good program, however I am not understanding the contradictory responses from your employees and the removal of a very practical and useful trip planning tool, that has no downsides that I can see. Other airlines use such similar tools. It also frees up the phone lines if people can plan their trips online. I suggest you rethink this or fix the new “glitch” if it was unintended.

Dear Air France Customer Service, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience with your airline. I am a frequent business class passenger, and I have always chosen Air France for its reputed excellence in service. However, on my most recent flight, I encountered several issues that have compelled me to inform you of my dissatisfaction. Firstly, there was a lack of competence displayed by the airport personnel and authorities. Despite booking a business class ticket, I was surprised to learn that there was no provision for business class passengers' transportation. This is highly unprofessional and not in line with the level of service that I have come to expect from Air France. Moreover, the wait that ensued was unacceptable. After being informed that there would be no separate transportation, I was made to wait in a bus for over 20 minutes until it was full of passengers. This unnecessary delay caused inconvenience and discomfort to all passengers involved. Additionally, once we finally reached the plane, we were forced to wait an additional 15 minutes inside the bus before being allowed to board. Such delays only serve to tarnish Air France's reputation and detract from the overall customer experience. It is my earnest request that Air France takes swift action to rectify these issues with the airport personnel and authorities. Measures need to be put in place to ensure the smooth and efficient transportation of passengers, especially those in business class. This will not only improve the airline's reputation but also demonstrate a commitment to providing a superior level of service. I trust that Air France, being a reputed and esteemed airline, will take this complaint seriously and address the shortcomings I have raised. I hope that my feedback will contribute to the ongoing effort to enhance the overall passenger experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter. It's very easy to use Flying Blue points not only on Air France but also on their partner carriers, often using less points and currency than the partners own sites. The downside of booking partner flights through Flying Blue is having to go to the partner sites to choose seats. This means not being able to upgrade from economy seats, even to premium economy plus very likely having to pay extra to choose seats before check-in.

We like the professional and friendly business class service. But we particularly appreciate the treatment of our dog, who flies with us to France once a year. The check-in and arrival procedures with the dog are quick and easy (no need for drop off at the cargo terminal, no delay on arrival), and AF onboard personnel are always kind about checking to ensure that our dog has also been boarded and is comfortable in the hold.

I liked the early warning of a canceled flight but disliked the new booking they made for me. The new booking was one day later and would have taken 14 hours to fly from Southampton UK to Marseille, flying from Southampton to Dublin, to Amsterdam and then Marseille. I then canceled your rebooking and found a flight going from Southampton to Paris to Marseille on the same day. Why didn't Airfrance rebook me onto that flight?

i booked tickets thru airfrance on virgin to israel. virgin cancelled the flights. i had a hard time navigating the flying blue website to request a refund . the refund of points and taxes was made but i was charged $168 by airfrnace. i think this is a cancellation penalty but i didnt cancel the trip, the airline did so i shouldnt have been charged anything. i will still use flying blue but am upset re the $168 charge

AF looks very good in comparison

This rating reflects flights on AF in 2018 and 2019 in premium economy (with some upgrades to business class). The seats have been comfortable, the service has been good, the company seems honest (no last minute flight cancellations), and no seat reservation scams. Relative to my flights/ reservations/ seats / food on United, British Air, and Lufthansa, AF is doing much better. Hopefully, this will continue.

This review is for booking a ticket online via website- easy and navigable. In the past didn’t have the best experience at the airport in Paris during stopover, in terms of organizing people movement to security checks and attitude of some airport personnel wasn’t friendly and helpful. Hoping it’s much better now and will not see all the above mentioned this time (in one of my favorite cities in the world).

Looking for a better way to fly to Paris

I decided to look at options for flying to Paris as my usual carrier had both wildly high prices and a not-so-great seating on my most recent trip. I was delighted with Air France in both regards as well as the ease of using their website to review and select flight and seating options. I had learned the hard way that which plane is flying a route is almost as important as which section you're flying in.

Search Functionality could be improved.

Sometimes the website cuts out unexpectedly when in the final step of making a purchase, and the calendar search functionality for award tickets is almost always inaccurate, rendering the top-level view useless. For example, on a given date, it may say that the lowest price is 40,000 miles, but when you click through, you'll see that prices exist for 20,000 or Promo Rewards of 15,000 or less are present.

I am so glad we decided to go with AirFrance for our first international travel booking. I had to rebook our flights and had so much anxiety around the process but the AirFrance site and app were easy to use, booking is easy and communications have been clear and quick especially during this holiday season. We are looking forward to flying with AirFrance and using you for future travels plans as well!

I finally was able to book at the promotional price.

Once, I was able to process my reservation things went smoothly, however the first time i tried to book with the promotional rate offered, the website was not working and I was not able to complete the reservation and then when I checked the website again, the price was much more. It took several more times checking the website before I was able to complete my booking at the promotional rate again.

Last minute booking

I was look for last minute booking. Air Air France offered last minute ticket competitive pricing . At first I was in doubt but it real.The only that is missing is that meal selection in not intuitive . For instance, I have to select Gluten Free meal for every flight even the return. Which I almost forgot to select. Also, It seems u can’t select multiple choices. Like vegan/GF, or Halal/GF… etc

No way to upgrade seats

Once you start a search you don't have any way to either see how much extra it costs to upgrade, either a segment or leg or whole trip. If you search for economy you can only book economy and never have the option to upgrade. A year or so ago your website had that functionality, but it's gone now. Even after booking, the only way to upgrade is to call and waste a person's time. That's ludicrous.

The website could be a little bit better by doing three things: 1) Not removing the number of miles on each date as you try to figure out which days to use to fly in and out of the airport 2) Using a grid system similar to Google Flights where you see the dollar cost / miles-needed for roundtrip flights 3) Allow searches for multiple airports at once (e.g. New York to Paris/Amsterdam/Milan

Transfered Points Quick and Easily

We used points to book 2 one ways. Transferring from Capitol One to Flying Blue was simple and quick. My only suggestion is, for looking at business class, have the points needed populate in the date bar like you do for economy. We were hoping to find a reward flight but it took a while to search. Otherwise, the process has been great so far. Looking forward to our flight in a few months

Air France website issues.

Air France in regards to flight, I have no issues with, but to be able to smoothly navigate thru their website it's very confusing, I usually fly business & in some instances it shows as economy & other it shows business, in some instances it say allowance is 1 checked back & then in other places it says 2 but since I have gold status, it's actually 3 checked bags....pretty confusing.

Good flight, disappointing boarding procedure

We enjoyed the flight and the service, however the boarding procedure at CDG was disappointing. We were left about 30 minutes hanging in the bridge leading to the airplane. Why start he boarding procedure if the plane is not ready? In the meantime, one bridge was reserved just for the 4 la premiere passengers, leaving business class passengers together with the the economy passengers

Service excellent, great schedules, easy website. We generally travel using reward miles and I would like to be able to search in a longer range calendar format. Also I have experienced difficulty when calling, due to the poor technical quality of the phone line, possibly a voip system? Your team answering the calls are great and empowered- just the actual voice quality is bad.

Flight Attendants are always best part of your flight. They are professional and kind. 2 toilets where not working in economy! My meal in economy is bad, chicken was awful. How about offering a croque monsieur and green beans. That's French, low cost and would be much better than what they offered. It was really awful in taste and shocking when I opened the foil container.

Usually no problems with booking flights and quality service on board or in airports. No complaints. On my latest booking however, the payment was denied during a two stage validation process with VISA or my Bank (Bank of America), despite ample credit. AF needs to check that credit card companies in the US can handle the sophisticated European payment authentication processes.

Easy & Simple to book the ticket. No hidden fees

I liked the Quick procedures and sending the ticket once the money has been transferred. Easy and Simple steps to book the ticket. All details are written clearly. No hidden fees. Flying Blue benefits of free choosing seats especially for long trips would be a great option. Considering upgrade for the trip points will be added value instead of having to wait till the next trip.
