Missing items from package

Order some bike parts/tools in 7.05.2024 and received the order on 14.05.2024 with missing item inside, so I refuse the order and contact the seller(bike-discount.de) until 28.05 they did nothing to refund the money or to resolve the problem. First time in 9 years of orders from this webshop. Beware of this, if IT happens to you, never refuse the order because you will lose money and the remaining items from the order.

waiting time to recieve product

price of the bikes are good but no emails saying you have bought it and the waiting time to recieve it 20 to 26 days :-( bought an ebike there 11days again and havent heard anyhting yet (no email saying thanks for.... or we will ship your bike asap ......)

Shipping takes a really long time, as in over 2 weeks just to leave the country. Then it takes 2-3 weeks in country for me to receive the package. As a result, I'm looking for other bike equipment suppliers. There is a high charge for shipping with DHL, and for it to take 4-5 weeks both times is completely unacceptable. Plus, the address entry process, although correct on the bike discount site, resulted in a wrong address when reaching my country both times. That is a fail. Good point is the quality of the products and relatively cheap price. But the cheap price seems to come with poor service.

I order a rim for my shop and while it was ready for spedition in two days it took 20 days to arrive to me (Greece). The big problem is the DHL (there was no other option). I click spedition with DHL and I was informed here that it was send with deutche post(something I cannot verify). Although the parcel arrived in Greece in 9 days total (inclunding the internal transport in Germany). The problems started when it arrived in Greece. From the hub in Greece (it is located in Athens airport) to my address is maximum one hour trip. Estimated time in the website 12 days. This is happening because they change carrier (to a company courier service). At that moment I contacted the customer service of bike discount. They answered me that as they see it is only transit for two days. I answered back that it was only two days from when they change carrier, it is in transit more than ten days and they should recheck. No answer from customer service after that. After 7 days the tracking was updated that they tried to find me to deliver and noone was there (an office where someone is always there) and finaly I went myself to the carrier to collect the box. After I collect the box I received a message from the customer service that my package was delivered and they are closing the case (not mentioning about the poor transport service not anything). I explain to them that the box was not delivered as it should be but was collected from me and they should care more about the service and not eager to close the case. Total time for the box to arrive in my hands 22 days (with me collecting the box, if I waited for them to bring it to me it would take at least three days more). The customer service only trying to make excuses for them and not helping the client. And finish you with "we are closing the case" showing that they don;t care about the client at all. For me when I pay for DHL I want a proper DHL service, if you cannot provide than why did I paid for that. If it's a DHL problem then Bike Discount should care more about your client (not letting you do all the job even collect the box yourself and when that happens they send you a mail "we are closing the case" - you did nothing to close the case, I did all the work) and if this a continous problem with DHL then offer another transport solution

A warranty problem is dealt with catastrophically, it has not been resolved

I ordered a Hope tech 4 e4 complete brake set, right and left. A large amount of fluid leaked from both brakes in the package, and the two brake pipes were also different. I will send it back to them for an exchange. They said they would send the brakes back to the manufacturer for investigation. After many weeks, with great difficulty, they returned the unpacked brakes to me, which I had packed in such a way that the brake fluid could not leak out. They didn't even touch it!!! So it's just as wrong now as it was before, since nothing happened with it. They didn't solve the different brake pipes either, instead I got 2 m of the worse ones (I told them that one is of good quality, but the other is much worse and the color is different), I can do what I want with it. I am very disappointed in this company. I feel they don't care about the customer after paying them for the product and having a problem. Communication with them is difficult and cumbersome. A lot of time passed after the complaint before I received the same defective product again. So in the end, my problem was not solved at all, and now they left me alone. I feel cheated because they didn't tell me the truth. They will surely have an answer to this as well, with which they will reassure themselves that they have acted impeccably. But I doubt that.

No parts, no money back, no communication

I have ordered some very specific parts, e.g. a headset for Radon Swoop. I have never received it. Bike Discount has sent the package through DHL, which has contracted another carrier. I have never received the package, even if it appears as delivered. I have notified the situation to Bike Discount. First, they said they have to sort it with DHL, a process which would take 5 days. 5 days have long been done, I have spoken with Bike Discount on the phone, asking them nicely to either deliver a new package, or refund until this sorts out. I did not receive any answer. I was continuosly told to wait. I cannot use my bike. I contacted DHL, in order to report the situation my self, I was told it is not their business and that I had to cotact the contractor. I tried for a few hours to contact Cargus, the subcontractor, the line is always busy. I am currently on the phone with Bike DIscount, I called them for one hour, they are not answering. This is the first time it happens. Was I blacklisted? In conclusion: no parts, to answers, no refund. I even wrote Bike Discount an e-mail saying I really don t want to write such a review, but still no answer.

Not happy with customer service and delivery

First attempt with delivery was not successful after 2 weeks waiting to be delivered. When I wrote to bike-discount.de Customer service dept. to inform them about the problem they said "there is probably a slight delay from courier but will be delivered." A few days later DPD put in system "address is not complete" (though I had received packages from this seller to this address before) and package will be returned to the seller. Then bike discount told me they will re-send it immediately with another courier when package is back with them. A few days later the seller send me a tracking code that it's been sent. 5 days later I check with tracking number and still no information for any movement of the package whatsoever! I wrote to Customer service again (already 4 emails, 2 cases opened and 2 phone calls!) and later that same day I receive a notification from DHL it will be delivered on Saturday which will be exactly 27 days since my purchase for package delivery within Germany (Berlin)! Definitely not the service I expected as I thought I was buying my bike wheels from a reputable online shop.

Never again Bike Discount

I ordered a bike from Bike Discount on 28.4.2024, after a long wait they delivered the wrong bike and mine turned out to have gone to a gentleman from Austria, after talking to a Bike Discount he asked me to return it and that they would send me the correct bike immediately - again immediately...., so far so good but the arguments and problems caused by their logistics partner DCHL cost me a lot of nerves, phone calls and emails... after a week the wrong bike was returned to bike discount. I had to call them again and ask them where my bike is and when I will get it, the answer was the bike has been shipped, tomorrow I will send you the tracking number and the amount of the delay compensation, yes but today again I don't receive the promised information from them and I write an email again asking what is happening with my bike, to which I received a reply that again they cannot provide me with a tracking number, but not to worry, the bike is on its way to me and I will receive compensation for the delay and all the arguments of the incredible 30 euro 🤣🤣🤣

Ordering from Nordic countries some difficulties occured when returning part of the goods. It was difficult to find info how to accomplish the returnement. I had to ask from the support. In the end I could not find any other way than to pay local post office slow freight of 28€ (express was ten times more expencive) , I had to stress that they arrive sooner than 14days. when the original freight via Dhl express was only 15€. When goods came it was really quick alltough, which I was very happy and surpriced.Second order I thought to use the same dhl express, but that was not option anymore (i figured maybe it was the wheight and soze of the paggage), Now I have painfull waiting in the middle of the season. First order came in 30hours, the next was picked and packed while I asked about it 3 working days later. Well I know, live and learn, order before season. Some information could be more visible and clearly altough. Anyways happy about the portfolio and the quality of the products. Also impressed that 1st deliver was super fast.

Improve to show accurate data about products you sell, after even mentioning the issue about wrongly data 3 years ago..we can still find( the same product wich i bought back then)issue! After 12 days of my payment of my purchase..i still didn't recieve anything..no update of what's happing or an aproximatly data/time of delivering. Aswel unless you've been one of the cheapest and fastest bike shop...became one of the more expensive and late and non communicative towards us the clients! After 2021 i didn't order anymore at bike-discount for those reasons, i bought in those years for around 1800 eur at other shops! No this is no good, after received my bike wich a bought 12 days ago i never again will buy anything again at bike discount ever! Bike discount isn't French or dutch its German, what happende with Gründlich? What happend at bike-discount in those years i was client it only became worse in general! Wake up call, iff you want me back to buy stuff at bike discount. BE THE DISCOUNT!

Good company but could be better with communication

This is a good company and I have used them several times and I will use them again. However for this order I received no confirmation email after purchase so after a few days I had to contact Customer service to make sure my order was confirmed. Although I got a relatively quick response I still don't know why I didn't receive a confirmation email (as is stated on their website). I also ordered a few items, including a wheelset and my order was split into two for delivery. Despite this I only received one tracking link and it was not communicated to me that I would receive two different deliveries. So when package one arrived after a week I again had to contact Customer Service to find out where the rest of my order was and why it wasn't included. After several emails I finally got the tracking for the 2nd package. This package took over 2 weeks to arrive which is slow, even between Germany and Ireland.

Risky multi-purchases

This is not my first order with this shop. In order to lower overall shipping cost I decided to buy few items in one parcel. One of the items that arrived was wrongly labelled by BikeDiscount (other size than I have ordered). I have instantly written to the shop and asked they send me the correct item I have ordered. The support response time was very reasonable. I have been given a label to send the wrong item back, but instead sending me the initially ordered (correct) item, BikeDiscount went more comfortable route for them - they have just refunded me the cost of the returned item and closed the case. In the end I had to order it somewhere else and pay the shipping cost twice. I think they could have resolved the issue they have caused better than this - especially when a customer requested that and the whole issue wasn't my fault. Be aware of this when placing a multi purchase with this shop.

Unacceptable Fault delivering service by DHL

I have rated Bike-Discount several times with 5 stars. The latest purchase I have done unfortunately had an issue. The transporter I select among the presented options (DHL) haven’t deliver to my address, not even tried to do so. They went to an access point and notified me to pick-up the goods there. I had to go there, wait for opening time, ask for my parcel (quite large size) and carry it under falling rain walking back to my home. It was first time it happened. I sent DHL a complaint asking for explanation and they not even bother to answer me. Wrong, very wrong attitude and service, not direct responsibility of Bike-Discount but, being a DHL sized customer must claim a top service to regular customers like myself.

Unexplained price increase at checkout!

While I am happy with the range of products, listed prices, and delivery performance, I take great issue with one very distasteful feature of your business. A significant additional fee is added when checking out. There is no explanation for this. It's not associated with any change made by the customer for destination, shipping method, etc. There is no additional line item. The prices increase between the shopping cart and the checkout screen. I can only think this is an intentionally deceitful practice to entice customers far enough down the path to a purchase that they will complete it regardless. I will try and find the same items elsewhere in future.

Not reliable at all. If you have a chance to buy in other shop, do not buy in this one. They sold me, they confirmed delivery and finally send me the fork I did not order. Than they told me they do not have the fork I paid for. I proposed they send me similar for the price (promotions ended and prices raised) but the refused. They do not care how much loss they caused on my side. No reflection, no client friendly solution. Just: we do not have what you paid for and it is your problem and if you have to pay more now we do not care. My recommendation: do not buy anything valuable in this shop (i.e. bike, fork, frame, wheels, etc.). Just don't.

Incomplete order 28052405531

Good afternoon, The package arrived at the delivery address in this state. It turns out that the delivery address is at my place of work and a colleague of mine accepted the box in this state. The problem is that the sprocket wheel for CS-M9100/M8100/M7100 is missing. During transport, someone broke the tape on the box, and as the items are small,they ended up getting lost along the whay. Attached is the state in which the box was delivered to my co-worker, and the items inside the box.(photo attached) How are we going to resolve this situation? I urgentely need these missing items. Poor bike assembly

Bike shipping was fast and it was well protected. However, bike assembly qualty was unacceptable: - steerer tube was too long - top cap rested on the steerer itself instead of stem/spacer which made headset bearing adjustment impossible - bottom bracket was not fully pressed into the frame - one of the cups was skewed which resulted in high crankset drag - cables are way too long - gears were not properly adjusted - inner tubes were twisted inside tires... This was definitely not ride-ready bike and the loose headset was just dangerous. Bike required some significant effort to fix all the issues.

Don’t buy from this site…

Prices and range are good but customer service is terrible. I ordered replacement brake pads in early January that were not delivered. After nearly a month and multiple email requests looking for an update, and requesting that they be sent again or I get a refund, they are saying the matter is still being investigated and that may take up to 8 weeks. In the meantime I have to wait. How that can seem fair is beyond me. It’s not my error yet they keep my payment for up to 3 months before deciding whether to send the items again or give me a refund. I will never buy something from this site again.

bad costumer service

Sometimes, true relationships are revealed in difficult times. Here too I have ordered many times without too many problems. Delays and mistakes happen. But the last time was particularly frustrating. There are two errors in the same order and no acknowledgment. Deferent description on the website whit what I received. During the holidays, they want me to return the items to send the correct ones, which they don't even have available on their site. This means at least 1 month delay. To "German" Costumer policy. There's nothing to be sorry about.
