Have purchased hiking & camping gear over several years. Order status & communication is good. Delivery within Ireland takes a little longer but that is likely local courier/postal service issue. Goods always arrive well packed and products always as ordered. For this reason happy to wait a day or two longer for peace of mind. Have found prices to be pretty competitive and free delivery over certain price.

Awful, really awful, they promise fast delivery before they take your payment. Then they take your payment and this all changes, then they email to say it's delayed and dont give any more information. Then when you phone customer service they hang up the phone on you, then when you email customer service they say it will take 4 days to respond. I will now report this transaction to my credit card company as I feel like I've just been robbed.

My order still has not been shipped, no 35413508. I sent an email but you did nit reply. I phoned but was left on hold and nobody answered. You have promised delivery in 8-10 business days but have not bothered to ship yet. I shall raise a dispute with paypal unless you sort out my order and communicate with me.

Everything went wrong! I was deceived because I made an online purchase at a price, with still 2 products in stock, and they canceled my order with the excuse that they didn't have stock! Surreal. Even today, they still have one product in stock, and my order is still pending! On top of that, they increased the price of the product and wanted me to buy it again at the current price! Unbelievable! The worst online service I've experienced in my entire life!"

It's good to buy from Bergfreunde exclusively if you are 100 % sure that the size and model fits you. But even then the waiting time is way too long to receive the order. For me it took 2 weeks to receive it (I currently reside in Lithuania). The problem starts if you want to return the goods and get reimbursed. It takes approx. 3 weeks to get reimbursed! I had to return the goods 3 times and lost 40 euros in shipping charges. A customer must pay the return charges which are quite high in my case (Lithuania). The first time I had no technical possibility to print a return label, thus I had paid solely with my own money for the return shipping. Nevertheless, Bergfreunde charged me double for the return shipping, assuming that I sent the goods "on behalf of" Bergfreunde. Twice I inquired about the unfair charging from Bergfreunde. Both times Bergfreunde ignored my request. Nowadays when a customer can choose lots of sellers with a quick and free-return policy I would definitely recommend to take into account the slow and unfair return policy of Bergfreunde.

I will order here, but this order was a mess

I like the store and I will order here in future, but this order was handled very poorly. The store knew in advance there was a problem with payment via PayPal -- instead of disabling it temporarily there was a label added with warning. The label was implemented incorrectly so it vanished randomly and not seeing it at first I paid via PP. My money was frozen as result. The customer support repeatedly (!) assured me money will be returned in FEW days. After two weeks I pressed on the issue, and the store explained they will be returned within 30 days. Few = 30? Since when. I also received tickets to review the support I received but they expired until the whole issue was solved. All of this mess could be easily avoided if someone paid attention.

Incorrect item shipped - refused to rectify

Berg Freunde shipped the incorrect size shoes and refused to fix their mistake by sending the correct size until I returned the previous pair. They kept referring to an the exchange/replacement process. I repeatedly called out this was not an exchange/replacement scenario but an error on their part. They offered 10 euro off as a "goodwill gesture" but really an actual good will gesture would have been to ship the items in parallel with me returning them. Very frustrating and unfortunate, I will not use the site again

Received different product from the one displayed on the shop website. The picture shown on the shop website (and in confirmation email) does not correspond to the product I received - it did show a jackwt with under arm pit zips and a different colour of front zips - obviousley a different product from the one I received. Big disappointment. I am returning this product and I am expected to pay 10 eur shipping costs for returning it, even if this is obviously due to a mistake by the eshop.

Misleading the customers on shipping

Once the website stated 3-5 working day delivery and when you order it is all of a sudden 5-7 working days. This is misleading the buyer!!! Also I have placed an order on the 9th January and today on the 11th there is still no update on my order, it is not even prepared!!!! Pathetic... Very poor shipping service... also I have contacted customer support and it says I have to wait 2-4 working days while someone replies... This is also very poor customer support.

Fake delivery times - The company consciously lies about the delivery times. I purchased a present for my son because I read that it would arrive in 2-3 days. AFTER they received the payment, I got the confirmation email saying the delivery would take 9-11 days. This is misleading advertising, a fraud and a formal legal action should be taken agains them.

Haven't received the package yet!!!

I have no idea why you keep asking me to rate the service as I am still waiting for the package. I ordered the stuff on the 21st of March. Today is the 4th of April and still haven't received anything!!! When I check the tracking, it looks like the package is still in Germany!!!

trying to make my order for the last 30mins

trying to make my order for the last 30 minutes, the wlcome code expired because one item on the shopping list disappeared and the order didnt go through...went back, didnt have the 3rd item in my shopping cart now and the code either!what a shitshow

This is a 4-th try to purchase from your site. Last time my card was refused due "technical" reason, then it went trough but order didnt, it got "lost" somehow. Very bad service

your website is a pain to negotiate. the cursor jumps about. scrolling is haphazard and i kept getting put back to top of page regardless of where i had been. took for ever to put order together, but at least you have a good selection and prices x

Slow customer service response

This is my first purchase from BF, text box for my delivery address has arranged my address in completely the wrong order, I contacted customer service, message said 2 - 4 days wait for a reply from customer service. Way too long for my liking.
