Have purchased hiking & camping gear over several years. Order status & communication is good. Delivery within Ireland takes a little longer but that is likely local courier/postal service issue. Goods always arrive well packed and products always as ordered. For this reason happy to wait a day or two longer for peace of mind. Have found prices to be pretty competitive and free delivery over certain price.
Awful, really awful, they promise fast delivery before they take your payment. Then they take your payment and this all changes, then they email to say it's delayed and dont give any more information. Then when you phone customer service they hang up the phone on you, then when you email customer service they say it will take 4 days to respond. I will now report this transaction to my credit card company as I feel like I've just been robbed.
Generally a good customer experience, but when things go wrong..
I've made multiple orders with Bergfreunde and am generally satisfied. However my last order was (and currently is being) a disaster.
Placed an order on the 19th of August, expected delivery time 8-10 working days.
Almost two weeks later, no status update (order still 'Received'). I contact Bergfreunde and get an auto-reply stating that delivery times could be stretched for a couple of working days. All good, so I wait.
A week later, no update whatsoever. Order status the same, no contact from Bergfreunde, nothing. I send a new message, get exactly the same auto-reply. I reply to that message, nothing.
Today I send a new (third) message and finally get a human response back! Order was lost, they were going to refund me. Bummer. But when I see the refund amount I understand that Bergfreunde's expert is referring to the wrong order (from over a year ago).
Still waiting to hear back from them..

I am refering to Order number: 37695660 placed on 21.08.2024 on your web site. Until today I have not seen any change from status "received". One would expect that you dispatch your orders promptly and without delays. I am surprised and disapointed that you are so slow in dispatching the sold products. If there is any kind of problem or objective cause for the delay, you should inform the customer about it so that we are not in doubt what is hapening with our orders. Thank you, Matjaž

I was filled with sadness when I learned that such a large company as yours does not know or does not want to fulfill my order placed and paid for online!
I note that the products I wanted to buy were available and were added to the cart without any problems!

The product arrived very fast and well packed. The problem is that I ordered a different one... The client invests time in selecting and paying and waiting and after all of this gets something different. Disappointed...

long delivery
placed and paid order on Monday, after 5days the order status is still "recieved", not moving at all, not processed, nor dispatched...haven't got any update :(
