Provide more and more detailed FAQ for travellers/customers who are not regular flyers especially seniors. Many seniors no longer have or can earn enough Miles in 18 months to make flight purchases with Miles. What options are there to use these Miles otherwise? Make clear the limitations and exclusions of Promo Fares, such as lack of Multi-city option with Purchase by Miles. Give cash customers more incentives and afforable upgrade options. The Air France Flying Blue website allows for many errors in data after entering, such as not making travel companion/Flying Blue Family Member data available in the Passenger Detail screen (I had to type in the data), and then in the Travel Documents page the system put my Family Member's Passport Details and not mine from my profile. I had to add a new passport and enter my own Passport Details and then in my Family Member's profile I had to add a new passport and enter his Passport Details all over again. This makes it easy for Passport information errors to occur. I also had difficulty transferring Flying Blue Miles while logged into Air France. Instead searched Reddit for answer to get around the "Low-assurance..." message and logged into KLM website, accessed Flying Blue profile and successfully transferred the Miles from within that website. Air France should provide a fix or workaround on their website.

I was booking a ticket and I also had a voucher that I wanted to use for the booking. Every time I try to process the ticket, The voucher did not work. So I would have to start the whole process again of booking a new ticket and during that time there was always a price increase from the previous time had tried. To keep on paying for a higher price, I decided to just purchase the ticket in the hope that Air France will owner my voucher. This is the same voucher that Air France issued to me as a birthday gift. This is the same voucher that I was going to use Wele with the stipulated booking and the stipulated time of travel. Yesterday morning I spoke to an Air France advisor by the name of who promised to look into the matter regarding my voucher and the ticket reference PHSTCT and get back to me, sh has not and lied to me . She was to follow up and ensure that AIr France applied the $70 gift voucher to ticket so that I don’t have to get another voucher to purchase another ticket for another trip. I really want that voucher to be applied on the ticket. this voucher is valid and still within the guidelines that I should use before the 7th of September 2024 and to travel before the 1 st of June 2025. The backstory is that I purchased the ticket on Air France and this is the booking reference PHSTCT. I had a voucher code BDCAJUNAVW and wanted to use that voucher in my booking, but for some reason, it was not able to go through . Now given that I didn’t want to loose the ticket and the price kept increasing, I went ahead and booked it in the hope that Air France can honour the gift voucher which was still valid as of today. This is not going to be honoured then I will cancel my ticket and I will not want to travel with Air France again because I don’t want there technical error and essentially a mistake that was not caused by me to affect me.

- Booking a ticket for a Youth from AUH to YOW, with no one to accompany him from Air France staff, consistently fails with an error. -Tried for two days till the price increased by ~100 CDN - Called the UAE service desk, they advised to book as an adult by entering an older birth date. Once done they will change from their side so no issues are encountered when checking in. - I managed to book as a student while on the call with Air France service desk. Once I provided the booking reference she said this is a shared coach and can NOT be corrected. But, she'll look into into it and call me back. - No calls received, but an email to cancel the ticket! - Called back and asked for a manager and insisted on it. I was quite direct and to the point. He asked to give him half an hour if no call back, I should cancel. - Luckily he called and confirmed the ticket verbally and via email. Please fix the website. Issue is consistent whether on UAE or Canadian Air France website. Yet it works flawlessly on KLM website. I found that out after the fact. As an IT professional with strong ties to the service industry, please fix the youth ticket booking process flow and train your representatives to rectify the issue instead of providing workarounds that are not well validated.

I tried to book a ticket online. I could not complete the booking, and it instructed me to call a special number meant for flyblue members and give a 6 letter reservation code. I did that, and got connected with someone who dealt only with points. After about 10 minutes, and some language difficulties, we figured out the problem and he gave me another number to call. I did and went through the whole thing again only to be told that (1) they did not have access to the same promotional fares that I could see online (????. Then why was I instructed to contact a customer service rep?) and (2) if I wanted to pay in Canadian $, I had to call yet another number. I gave up at this point and tried to do the booking myself again, and was successful. This was a total waste of time and was stressful because there were only two seats available for the flight/fare I wanted. I also tried to find information on whether AirFrance had a 24 hour cancelation policy. I could find no information on the website. Please put this information in a more accessible place for customers. On the plus side, I used a voucher to partially pay for the tickets and that process was very easy and straightforward which I admit I was not expecting. thank you for that.

Pathetic service by Air France, will never ever travel with them.

Pathetic service by air france. Our international flight was rescheduled less than 6 hours before boarding and we were delayed at our final destination by more than 6 hours. Even though the delay was more than 6 hours our claim for compensation was rejected stating that our final destination falls outside EU region and hence we are not eligible for a compensation for delayed or rescheduled flights. Such a ridiculous policy to the say the least. My question is if Air France cannot compensate countries or destinations outside EU region, why does it operate flights outside the EU region and cancel flights at the last minute. Every step of the journey it's a loot. The in flight food is pathetic as well, not even one item is edible enough. And the leg room for economy seats are too small and they still charge a hefty amount for that, IndiGo's domestic flights in India have better leg rooms. Moreover for the same price as other airlines, only one checked in baggage was given as complimentary. Trying to loot customers at every nook and corner.

Never again. The AF website is poorly designed and has limited options operationally - I had to chat with customer support many times because the website doesn't populate flights by AF Hop. Chat support is a problem on its own - agent keep asking you the same things that you aready entered when you opened the chat and they don't try to give you options to choose from that might be more convenient, or cheaper, or faster, only the options that they can upcharge you on. I initially booked non-refundable but changeable tickets and had to use Google flights for AF, create my itinerary and then tell the chat agent how to book me - and I had to pay extra charge for doing the work. It has been my first experience booking AF on its website and will be the last one. I am a frequent flyer and usually fly with Air Canada, United, Turkish and Polish airlines and will stick to them going forward. If you do want AF, do yourself a favour and book a fully refundable and fully changeable ticket - you will save a lot of grief at the end of thevday.

Disappointed with Customer Service and Online Functionality

Disappointed with website and customer service. We had previously booked a fully refundable ticket flying business class to Malaga and Premium Economy return. The first leg on the return flight had changed time and planes eliminating Premium Economy but they had business class. I tried to change my original flights online but they wanted an extra $1000. If I was to cancel the flight and rebook the difference was about $100 for business class return. I booked tickets for my wife and myself then tried to cancel the original flight online which was impossible. I called customer service and they said they couldn't help and tried to walk me through cancelling online which didn't work. I was told the agent would cancel the flight but we are still waiting to see if it actually went through. This has been a very frustrating experience and Air France can surely do better especially for their business class customers.

Th website returned error messages multiples times while trying to make the reservation. Moreover, the price increased by a couple of hundreds of dollars between my first trial and final booking. Given that the purpose of my trip is to accompany my mom who just spent 4 days at the hospital while visiting to make sure she is alright, and not for leisure, the ticket price being almost 3 times a normal price (my spouse travelled for just over $700 to France back in August), we are extremely disappointed in our experience in these already stressful situation where the insurance had to coordinate the return ticket extension for my mom and insist that my trip be at my own expense when they initially considered sending medical aid to travel with her! Would appreciate if Air France could make a gesture to accommodate us and partially refund my ticket, and I’d be happy to send proof for my mom situation.

Problems dealing with Air France/KLM concerning car seat in Business Class

Dealing with Air France/KLM concerning using a car seat for an infant in business class has been painful. I have dealt with 6 agents over the phone, AMX travel, emails and via WhatsApp. I have received different information on what I can do. This booking was on a KLM B787-10 flight out of Toronto. I was informed that we can use a car seat and then was informed I can’t. I am told I can’t bring and use a car seat on any AF flights out of Toronto in business class. I now received an email that states I can bring a car seat in business class on KLM A330 flight out of Toronto. But the email I received refers to exit row conditions and seat reclining conditions. There are no exit rows or reclining seats in business class that a car seat can impact. It appears that AF/KLM has no idea what is allowed. I am still not certain what I can do.
