I like the fact that Superbalist really cater for the plussize woman. All too often plussize clothing are outdated, frumpy and just not nice. We also struggle with trendy styles, things are nit true to size etc but Superbalist has really delivered 70% of the time so far. There is a lot they can improve on since the South African market has a lot of potential for plussize woman. Another BIG issue is finding boots for people with big calves. I have big calves and have to buy my boots from the UK cause NOWHERE in SA I can find them. Otherwise I have to take them to someone who then adds a piece of leather so they can fit me. I bought a pair from the Butterfly label (my fav because the shoes are always so comfortable) and they fit beautiful till I have to zip it closed. I have always been disappointed with knee hight boots in South Africa.

Delivery was late. Seems like it was only attended to once I contacted you guys to complain. Then I was told that one of my items was not available even though the app showed that it was. You guys sent me a 20% discount which was not much less than the discount I would have received on the dress and now the dress in my size is sold out. Very bad service. This has happened before and I've overlooked it but this problem doesn't seem to be addressed. I've also noticed other customers complaining about the same thing. So not impressed

Website and stock not matching

I had an issue last year when trying to purchase a bed and the sale getting reversed without explanation. I made the purchase 3 times "successfully". It was only when I had to contact the call centre that I found out it was because the stock wasn't updated on the website, and the item was out of stock (the website said there was). My opinion: if the product is out of stock, then a mail/message should automatically be sent stating that is the reason the sale did not go through.

Placed an order on 26 Feb, incorrect item distributed. Given the run around after visiting various pick up points. No communication from Snr authorities. Item collected 06 March for exchange, only to be issued with the same(incorrect) item on 11 March. Still no resolution, yet my account was debited for the item purchased. Pathetic and unprofessional service from a company whose motto says-We are only happy when the client is happy. Not a great way of living up to your brand.

Need to improve on your courier services. They DO NOT follow the proper instructions. Time and time again they arrive at our premises at a time when we are not home. How do we manage to pay for all our Superbalist orders if we are at home? We are working (earning a living) and hesitant to place order for delivery. We have now opted for the pick up point option. Also some of your call center agents are not very clued up at all. This is my opinion is not good for your business.

Make items easier to rate

I love the variety of products. However, I would make the items easier to rate (I still haven't figured out how to do it), so more people would rate it and you would have a better idea of the items you want to buy (like Takelot). It would have helped me a great deal with some of the items I bought before, if I had some insight. Superbalist also takes really long to deliver, which is not convenient at all, because sometimes I don't want to wait 3 weeks for the stuff I bought.

They delivered my parcel on a Sunday. Some people are not home on a sunday and the fact that takealot works on a sunday does not mean everyone must be available. I spoke to Ivan and specifically mentioned to deliver on the Tuesday. He said he would try and update the date and low and behold, someone came to deliver the Monday. I was away hence me choosing Tuesday. My order was eventually cancelled by someone even though i still wanted it and I am still waiting for my money.

Poor communication, as you do not communicate when you will deliver the order.I did an exchange and i was emailed the day they will come to collect and your couriers came before the date you said I must prepare the collection. I have two different exchange and but when they came to deliver the fist order they said said i must swap with the second order which they have not communicated that with me I really need someone to explain to me your process i am so not satisfied.

I didn't like your drivers attitude, I normally can't reschedule my orders so he missed me the one day as I was on a night shift and then came through the next day which I appreciated but then he was complaining about the petrol he has wasted etc. I told him it doesn't always let you reschedule but he just carried on so I walked away, I don't really want him delivering to me again and thus have avoided ordering Christmas presents from you and will rather shop in store.

Orders are ALWAYS a mess

I’ve ordered a few times this year and each time there have been issues. One of them being getting the completely incorrect product, the other being that I only received half my order. When I called the call centre they said the other half went missing in transit - Uhm… so if Superbalist knows this why do you mark my order as complete??? Then when I ask to refund and not replace I can only do it when the courier has it??? And then it’s too late to cancel? Pathetic

Most times you get it right, you deliver on estimated dates however, sometimes you take forever without any explanation, when we check the status of the order it will just say “processing” No one will communicate until we fight or in some cases until we reach out to your marketing team on Twitter/X Work on being pro-active if there are unexplainable delays. As customers we are understanding 9/10 the problem only occurs when no one in your team communicates.

Paid for same day delivery. Did NOT receive it same day. Superbalist is in Foreshore. My apartment is in Foreshore. Superbalist could literally not same day deliver a package 800 meters. Emailed immediately. None of my emails were answered. Spoke to the most sarcastic little twat in your customer service. Cancelled my order due to his attitude, not because I didn't like the items. Your sucky employees and complete lack of logistics is destroying your company.

Worst experience when returning a wrong item which is clearly wrongly sent from their side and its a whole hassle to get what you ordered correctly. This is a problem and will decrease customers slowly through the year expeciailly with bigger comeptition coming throgh into the SA industry. I am still going through the issue and hope it gets resolved, but the problem is that one has to call, several emails up and down with no proper reponse or resolution

Disappointed

The picture online was very misleading.the bag I bought was so small in real life. Also the title of the item on the website said shopper. This bag can never be a shopper. Then they changed the delivery date of my order to two days earlier something I didn’t agree on when I purchased the goods online. And when I complained about it the agent who helped didn’t even bother reading my email and sent me a generic reply that had nothing to do with my complain

Shipping Issues

I’ve had an order that had to be sent back twice to get replaced, the first time because it arrived damaged and then we I it was exchanged it arrived with an item missing and then I’ve had another order where I was sent completely different items from what I ordered, I think improvement can be done with ensuring that the correct items are being shipped out and that they are correctly packaged The customer Service is amazing tho and extremely helpful

Poor service

I ordered a rugby shirt priced at R1399.99, but instead received a bottle of nail polish. Upon notifying them about the mix-up, I was assured that a replacement shirt would be sent, and the nail polish would be collected. Unfortunately, there was no further communication until I reached out again, only to be informed that the shirt is now sold out. Despite the error being on their part, it seems they are not concerned about resolving the situation.

I had ordered a pair of Converse boots that never arrived. When I called the call center to inquire about the issue, the first assistant put me on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. However, the second assistant named Abulele S was very helpful in resolving my issue. Despite that, the terrible service I received earlier was completely unacceptable, and it was my first and last time buying from Superbalist. Now, I am waiting for my refund.

I have not received my missing item for this order. I still need my shoes that i payed for and i have not received them. The boring part is they also don't respond when you arlet them. I have been giving them answers to their questions but i dnt have concrete feedback to what could have happened to my order. I hope some day they respond and give me feedback to what happened or when am i receiving the shoes. The number they have it does not work.

Your agents were rude and disgraceful. Your management seems to be worse and I purchase from you ever few days in a week. It seems that the public should know about this. Your agents Abulele, Unathi, and a few others have caused serious issues . Your so called manager Mishka laughed at the issue and cut the call on me. PATHETIC !!!!! I will post this on social media including screen shots of the communications and probably the audio recordings

Terrible customer service

Spoken to multiple people for the return of some dress I didn’t order. Spoke to multiple people regarding the return policy and having the dress collected. Getting shoved around on that. Speaking to multiple different people about the collection address even offering to drop the dress off. Complete unconvinced to me as the customer to opted for collection at no one is home during the day!!! And still has not been resolved. An absolute mess.

Delayed delivery issues

Delivery of products took longer thank expected.The products were to be delivered in the 3rd of April 2024 but were delivered on the 5th of April. From my understanding the delivery address was not appearing for the driver. I understand such things happen at times but it is inconvenient and disappointing. Based on previous orders tho was an exception as delivery is usually on time. I received all my products in perfect condition, thank you.

Superbalist used to be great but recently I have been getting wrong sizes delivered, also got sold out of stock items (system did not update stock levels) and the process to get funds refunded is tedious, I had to prove that I paid for these items that were not delivered, by sending bank statements. That was unnecessary admin for me. Please also stock more of UK size 35 on shoes, its very difficult to find these sizes for small feet like me.
