We had a wonderful 11 day family trip to Peru. Travel Local did a great job pairing our interests, budget, and level of activity with three great guides. Our 13 drivers and vans were great. The llama trek was a (strenuous) and unique experience and the overnight with the Quechua family was a once in a lifetime. When our daughters got sick, the company offered to send a doctor to the hotel. Suggestions - We missed almost every hotel breakfast because of the 6-7:00 pick up time and that was a little disappointing. We also had one hiccup with luggage: there was no plan to get our luggage to Agua Calientes the day we caught the train to begin hiking. Our local guide found a way to take care of it. Wonderful week!

The communication throughout the trip was very good. I would get a message every evening how the day went . There will also be a guide's name and plan for the following day. We felt we were very well looked after.

You assigned a local expert who was attentive and who made the changes we asked for so that we had exactly the trip we dreamed of.

My Norway Travel Local Consultant was personable and professional and arranged a nearly perfect 3 week itinerary for me. She was honest and transparent and helped me avoid destinations and attractions over run by tourists. She also used an app “Trip Plan” which contained all my travel information including my itinerary, tickets, reservations and accommodations all in one place offline. When I plan to return to Norway, I will reach out to my Travel Local Consultant again because I know I can depend on her to arrange another stellar experience!

Great listeners that provided the expert advice for our first trip to the region. Recommended hot spots that were most valuable to explore and enjoy for our time frame. We never felt rushed or tired as activities were well thought out giving us relaxing time to rejuvenate.

I loved the wide variety of experiences offered and the logical way it all fit together. There was one day that I and the tour guide went “rogue” and decided to do some ATV riding through the mountains- glad that there was flexibility in the travel plans for this!

Travel Local have provided many tailor made trips for me over the last 5 /6 years. Every one has been unique and special. The only thing I can think of that they could do better would be to add some other destinations such as USA or Taiwan for example.

Brian was very much on top of our itinerary letting us know of any changes in advance. The tour guides were fun, friendly, and punctual. The itinerary created was a 10! We are excited to book again, be back in 2 years!

My Mongolian trip exceeded my dreams! Burnee, the in country partner is fantastic, efficient, and provides very well researched experiences. I trust her with my life, my dreams, and my money. If you are working with Burnee, you are lucky, and you will have an amazing trip. Having said this, TravelLocal needs to be more transparent, as the lack of information provided prior to paying can easily be seen as a red flag about a potential scam. There feels like very little company support, and limited contact options. My experience is extremely positive in Mongolia, but that is due to the professionalism of Burnee. I highly recommend that TravelLocal offers more information a to potential clients prior to payment. Currently that is when a great deal of info about who exactly you are working with is available. When money has been spent, and possibly when passport information shared. In these cynical times, offering such things to a relatively unknown platform that could be an AI bot as easily as a person, is unappealing. I very nearly walked away from this trip for this reason. I did not, and had a perfect trip, but sincerely believe it is due to Burnee.

Travel local organised a 18 day personalised trip through China. All hotels were superb with seamless transition in and out. Our guides and drivers spoke excellent English and were very knowledgeable in the areas travelled. The guides were very helpful with things like - Reading menus for us, Mailing things home, Shopping and a myriad of other situations. All vehicles were of a very high standard and was basically a door to door service and went smooth as it could have been - not one hiccup.

The quality of the services provided, from the hotels, the guides, and the drivers, were exceptional. I would suggest that the payment system be addressed to allow individual members in a travel group pay under their own account instead of the main contact receiving the full invoice for the group. This was straightened out in the end but not before a few rounds of e-mails.

We planned a trip to Switzerland, having no experience on how the country was laid out, we worked with travel local and gave him a big list of our must-haves on vacation, king size beds, rooms with AC and a list of all the activities we wanted to do. Our guide he crafted essay itinerary, the checked all the boxes and made it very easy to travel around the country.

The smoothest and most fulfilling tour. We were looked after so well by the two guides Ayoub and Abdulah in Morocco. Everything was flexible but well planned out and nothing was too much trouble for the guys. We even squeezed in extra things to see like the film studios in Ouarzazate and more breath taking views along the way.

Travel local put together a great itinerary for our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, working with us to customise it to our specific requirements. Their team were easy to communicate with and supported us well during the tour.

A tailor made, customer oriented approach which provded an individual tour programme according to my needs, preferences combined with a dedicated guide was a particular asset during the Tansania trip.

I used Travel Local to setup my first trip to Greece. They hooked me up with an amazing local travel agency that made our trip incredible. I will definitely use this service again!
